Jonni walked her pace quick and snippy for she was excited with her plans for the day. Sure, others might have thought cooping yourself up in the library wasn't the best idea, but she simply loved it. The words that flowed from page to page had some magical entrancing effect on her and she just loved the stories they could tell. When you found that one good author that you just couldn't get enough of, it was breath taking. The current book she was engulfed in was The Da Vinci Code and since word one of page one she hadn't been able to get her noise out from the seam.
The current classes she was in were bothersome, not that she didn't love them mind you, but they got in the way of her reading time. And on top of that was homework, which is what she should be doing today instead of getting lost in make-believe. Eh, she would get it done, whether it was last minute or later tonight, it would be ready to turn in on time. Maybe she should have taken less classes, it would be easier on the time, on the mind, on the soul. And it would leave time for more reading.
Her pace seemed to quicken as she rounded the last corner to the library and a smirk came to her face. It wasn't long before she had entered the place and lost her ability to breath. This seemed to happen every time her foot stepped into the glorious place full of studies and findings of researchers all over the world. Forever she had wanted a place like this of her own, and thus far it was the closest she had gotten. One day she would own a library and she would be content.
She began to follow that familiar path down the long rows her hand tracing over the binding of the books. Each was, in its own way, a bible of wonder and mystery. She stopped reaching the end and her smirk turned to a warm smile. Slowly she removed the special treasure she had come upon. Her place was marked by the simple folding of the corner that even the closest inspector could miss and as she took it in her hands she felt a sense of pride rush over her.
It wasn't long before she was settled comfortably in overstuffed arm-chair her feet pulled up off the ground while her shoes sat on the ground. That was the thing she loved about her slip on shoes, they slipped off just as easily as they slipped on. Her hands quickly flung through to her small book mark and her eyes scanned for the last spot she had read. Her eyes settled as she found the last words she had read and she indulged once more into the world of France.
